Matthew Chan
2D Digital Artist, Animator, Game Designer
Hey there! My name is Mathew Chan, drawing extraordinaire and part time foodie, a pleasure to meet you.
I’m a digital artist who predominantly works in Photoshop but can quickly adapt to new programs.
I’ve been drawing since the ripe young age of 4, and over the years my personal style has evolved into mixture of Eastern and Western influences such as Japanese Manga and American Comic art from artists like Jack Kirby. This wealth of experience and great deal of time honing my skills has ultimately left me with a great knack for cartoons, amongst other styles.
These skills and experience have only refined themselves more through my long, yet gratifying education. In my university tenure, I studied a Bachelor of Games design and then a Bachelor of Animation.
My proficiencies are in software such as Photoshop, Toon Boom Harmony and Sony Vegas Pro, although I have transferable skills I can use for Adobe Premiere Pro. Additionally I have expertise in developing art for games in unity.
I am able to work on concepts and artwork for games and animation, or even personal commissions!
